Concrete sealing - what is it? Is this something that could benefit your concrete?
Concrete and similar materials like brick, stucco, natural stone, limestone, and more are porous materials, which means they will absorb liquids they come in contact with. This means water, any vehicle fluids like motor oil, transmission fluid, or gasoline, anything that spills, or any other liquid that ends up on the concrete will at least be partially absorbed. This is why oil stains are so difficult to remove, especially if left untreated for long periods of time.
Sealing your concrete puts a protective layer over the concrete and does not allow those liquids to penetrate. It also makes it more difficult for algae, moss, or mold to grow, and if it does grow, it is much easier to remove.
